The fact that Great Malvern is situated in a somewhat remote location has had an important impact on its history; the Victorians liked to travel here to get away from the pollution of London, and the radar research facility was moved here during the Second World War to make it less susceptible to attack.
But don't let this rural location put you off! Great Malvern has direct non-stop services to and from London Paddington via Reading and Oxford.
