An afternoon seminar for senior school students (Years 10 to 13) interested in science, technology, engineering, and design. This was an opportunity to hear about applying these subjects in the real world to pursue an exciting career in the all-important creative economy.
The event was free to attend, but schools needed to register in advance.

Designing and Engineering the Aston Martin Sports Car Dr Bal Choda returns to Malvern in 'his' Aston Martin to deliver an audio visual presentation about how these iconic sports cars are designed for stunning looks and engineered for high performance. Bal is an engineer and STEM Ambassador with Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, and he'll describe the design process, systems engineering, and innovation that goes into the creation of an Aston Martin sports car. @bchoda |

Founded in 1913 by Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin as 'Bamford & Martin Ltd', the company has developed into an iconic brand synonymous with luxury and elegance. 1914 saw the birth of the name ‘Aston Martin’ following one of Lionel Martin's successful runs at the Aston Hill Climb in Buckinghamshire, England. UBRacing is is the University of Birmingham’s official Formula Student Team. They are an entirely student run project with the aim of designing, funding and building a single-seat racing car from scratch to compete in the Formula Student competition each year.
