Did you know that 4th-10th October 2015 is World Space Week?
@WorldSpaceWeek, @WSW_UK
2015 is also the International Year of Light, celebrating all aspects of light science and its applications, including how light-based technologies promote sustainable development and provide solutions to global challenges in energy, education, agriculture and health. Our ability to harness light has revolutionised medicine and communications, and plays a vital role in electronics, display technologies, and microscopy.
@IYL2015
In 1985, the blockbuster film Back To The Future Part II featured time travel to 21st October 2015, a few days after the end of the Festival! Innovation and futurology are closely linked, but often we don't predict things correctly. We still don't have hover-boards and flying cars, but we have made enormous leaps with the Internet and smart phones.
