15th November 2013 - Little Pi Shop captures some of the Next Generation Innovators schools day's highlights.

 

14th November 2013 - Festival of Innovation Builds on its Successes, article in the Malvern Observer.

 

11th November 2013- Areca Design highlight their segment on BBC Midlands Today.

9th November 2013 - Harriett Baldwin MP opens the Family Show all about innovation in materials, featuring Dr Jontahan Hare and Prof. Mark Miodownik.

 

7th November 2013 - Ordnance Survey's GeoVation initiative launch their 7th GeoVation Challenge at the Festival. Posing the question "How can we encourage active lifestyles in Britain?", Dr Chris Parker outlined the new competition in his presentation in the Tech for Tourism symposium.

7th November 2013 - Unique wooden lamps to counter seasonal affective disorder and made by a Birmingham-based charity are launched at the Malvern Festival of Innovation.  Artcle appeared in the Malvern Observer.

 

6th November 2013 - First Great Western confirm their special train service to support the Festival, with Station Manager for the North Cotswolds Teresa Ceesay saying: “First Great Western is committed to supporting the communities we serve, and what better way than to help people travel to this great event in the Malvern calendar."

 

4th November 2013 - Each student (and there will be more than 100) participating in the Next Gen. Innovators Schools Fringe event on Friday will go away with a free Raspberry Pi Starter Kit courtesy of Google and the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Wow! 25th October 2013 - We are delighted to announce that Adam Jolly, business writer and Consultant Editor to the recently released 3rd Edition of The Innovation Handbook, will speak at the Formal Dinner on Thursday evening at Malvern College.

24th October 2013 Malvern Festival of Innovation is commended in the 2013 Visit Worcestershire Awards for Excellence.

22nd October 2013 - "Second Year of Celebration of Brightest Ideas" Malvern Gazette

16th October 2013- The exhibition plan is published with over 65 organisations exhibiting this year throughout the Malvern Theatres venue.

 

10th October 2013- Midlands Business Awards 2014 announces that Key IQ Ltd, the organiser of the Festival, is a finalist in the Corporate Commitment to the Community Awards category.

3rd October 2013 - Malvern Festival of Innovation is a finalist in the 2013 Visit Worcestershire Awards for Excellence.

 

27th September 2013 - The Technology Strategy Board, the UK's innovation agency, becomes the Festival's Lead Partner and we provide an e-bulletin update.

 

26th September 2013 - First Great Western confirm they will name their early morning high-speed train service out of London Paddington "The Innovation Express" during the Festival. 

 

20th September 2013 - Detailed programme for the symposia published, highlighting over 30 speakers across three days of activity.

15th September 2013 - e-Skills and Cyber Security Challenge announce their intention to provide a Schools Fringe Event on cyber security along side the main Festival in the Coach House Theatre. 

12th September 2013 - Dr Tim Cook, Non-Executive Director and Former Head of ISIS Innovation, Oxford kindly agrees to deliver the opening Plenary lecture on Realsing Economic Value from Good Ideas.

11th September 2013 - Exhibition space now full with over 60 organisations signed up to join the show.

 

23rd August 2013 - Tickets for 'Innovative Stuff: The Materials Revolution' Family Show featuring Dr Jonathan Hare and Prof. Mark Miodownik on Saturday 9th November 2013 go on sale at the Malvern Theatres.

12th August 2013 - We announce the opportunity to create the opening video sequence for the Festival over the exclusive signature tune composed by Paul Farrer.

18th July 2013 - One year ago Key IQ announced that it would organise the first Malvern Festival of Innovation.  This year, the second edition is well advanced in planning with a growing line-up of confirmed high calibre speakers, an over-subscribed schools fringe event, a Family Show set to extend the Festival on to the weekend, and over 70% of the exhibition space already booked.

 

17th July 2013- Santander come on board as a Gold Sponsor and will feature their Breakthrough programme at the event to help rapidly growing innovative SMEs to reach their full potential.

 

4th July 2013  - The Next Gen Innovators schools fringe event already over-subsrcibed with interest from primary, middle and secondary schools wishing to attend from the region.

 

5th June 2013 - Quality Solicitors Parkinson Wright announce that they will be Gold Sponsors this year, and Dr Frances Saunders the President Elect of the Institute of Physics will give a plenary talk on Friday 8th November,

 

28th May 2013 - Malvern College, in collaboration with The Chase School, The IET, Key IQ and STEMNET will host a Schools Fringe event on Friday 8th November, featuring hands-on computer aided design, Raspberry Pi, and the ball throwing engineering challenge, giving years 6,7,and 8 experience of innovation in technology and engineering.

 

21st May 2013 - The Malvern Festival of Innovation will be extended to Saturday 9th November morning with a Family Show featuring Professor Mark Miodownik and Dr Jonathan Hare talking about "Innovative Stuff: The Materials Revolution". Some of the exhbition featured in the Main Foyer will also remain on display for those attending the event.

 

3rd May 2013 - award-winning TV and film composer Paul Farrer has composed an exclusive signature tune for the Festival.

 

29th March 2013 - Bishop Fleming announce they will be a Gold Sponsor and will present in The Business of Innovating symposium explaining the financial growth cycle of an innovative business.

 

8th February 2013 - TextLocal, another innovative locally-based company, announces that it will be a Gold Sponsor again this year.

 

29th January 2013 - Malvern Instruments confirm they will be sponsors again this year too. Registration opens for exhibitors to book a stand at the 2013 Festival and for visitors to reserve places at the free symposia which promise to be as exciting and informative as last year.  Details of speakers will follow as they confirm.

 

8th January 2013- QinetiQ confirm that they will be a platinum sponsor again this year, underlining the importance that they place on innovation and lateral thinking in their technology business.
