23rd December 2012- Luke Johnson chose the Malvern Festival of Innovation as his top new start-up venture for 2012 in the Sunday Times feature which included choices from Sir Richard Branson and Sir James Dyson. Luke stated "Innovation is the biggest contributor to wealth and job creation. Britain needs more. Get-togethers like this help."

3rd December 2012 - UKTI DSO Small Business Unit stated in a press release that the Festival "was also a good place to learn how to start and grow an innovative business. Speakers at the event were wide ranging from Cyber Security Experts to Charles Morgan chairman of legendary car makers Morgan. It was a well attended event with over 400 visitors attending."  The Festival was also highlighted in the Begbroke Science Park December newsletter after Professor Peter Dobson was the opening speaker.


26th November 2012- Key IQ announces that the Festival was a great success, attracting over 400 people to the event. Dr Mark Yeadon from Leeds based Yeadon IP said “The Festival was a gem of a conference. An enviable line­‐up of speakers with very meaningful insights into the world of innovation." The Festival was also recognised today as a High Impact Event by Global Entrepreneurship Week UK.


17th October 2012- 56 exhibitors, 36 speakers, 5 themed symposia, and a Fornal Dinner now confirmed; making the inaugural 2012 Malvern Festival of Innovation the place to be to hear about new ideas, see new products and services, and learn how you could start and grow your own innovative business.


1st October 2012 -Key IQ provides a press update about the Festival, highlighting the heritage of business and technology innovation in and around Malvern.


21st September 2012 - Malvern Instruments confirmed as Festival Sponsors and Tim Harper confirmed as the guest speaker for the formal dinner. Due to demand, the exhibition area is expanded at the venue to include the Forum Theatre. The first day's programme is now available online. 


1st September 2012 - Worcestershire County Council and Artwork Creative both join us as sponsors of the Festival and the speaker list grows to include several keynotes for the various themed seminars. With exhibition space filling up, we are also looking at how best to accommodate more exhibitors. 

24th August 2012- Luke Johnson, Chairman of Risk Capital Partners LLP, Chairman of StartUp Britain, and past Chairman of Channel Four Television Corporation has kindly agreed to give a plenary lecture at the event on Friday 9th November. We are also delighted that TextLocal, based on the Malvern Hills Science Park, have become a gold sponsor of the Festival.

14th August 2012- We are pleased to announce that QinetiQ, a global leader in innovative technology for the defence and aerospace industries, is the platinum sponsor of the Festival this year.

30th July 2012
- The Malvern Festival of Innovation announces that Professor Peter Dobson from the University of Oxford, Andrew Humphries from Tech City, and Paul Farrer an award winning TV and film music composer will each give plenary lectures at the event. The Festival will be held at the Malvern Theatres with a celebratory formal dinner at Malvern College.

18th July 2012 - Key IQ announces that it will organize the inaugural Malvern Festival of Innovation for 8th-9th November 2012 in Great Malvern, UK. The aim is to create a multi-disciplinary platform for a range of innovative businesses and support organisations to exhibit, speak and network. The event will be held with the support of the Malvern Hills District Council.
