Please enter your details here to exhibit at the Next Generation Innovators schools event at the Malvern Festival of Innovation at the Three Counties Showground on Tuesday 8th October 2019.

We encourage exhibitors for this event to have live demonstrations, hands-on exhibits, or workshop activities. The audience will be students and their teachers from school years 7-9 (first three years of secondary school). As such, students will be starting to think about their career choices and GCSE subjects, and so this is a great opportunity to enthuse them about a career in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or enterprise, and the role of innovation and creative thinking.

If you can have careers information and suitable takeaway booklets or giveaways on your stand, that also helps immensely.

It is free for you to exhibit unless you require something unusual, as we fund this initiative through sponsorship and support. We will provide table and chairs for your stand, and a 13A power socket on request. If you require more space / a different layout (for example additional seating or tables for a demonstration or workshop, please just let us know in the form below). Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring any equipment brought meets appropriate health, safety and environmental standards, with electrical equipment PAT tested. You must also have public liability insurance and have undertaken a risk assessment for the exhibit and any activities being undertaken. We will ask to see both the insurance certificate and the risk assessment before the event.

We will be in touch again with more detailed joining instructions, but you will be able to set up between about 4pm to 5pm the evening before and/or from 8am on the day. Students will arrive from about 9:30am and leave by 3:30pm. You will then need to have cleared your stand area by about 4:30pm. The venue has good parking and access to facilitate set-up and tear-down.

Some ideas for your exhibit:

1) A simple walk-up stand with a table of hands-on show-and-tell exhibits, apps, or demonstrations. Ideal for smaller organisations wanting to engage on an ad hoc basis with participants, imparting careers information, and providing some literature.

2) A larger walk-up area of more tables, chairs or floor space, set out for team activities, listening to a short talk or demo, and taking part in several different hands-on activities. Ideal for larger organisations with a variety of STEM exhibits to show.  Please indicate the extra furniture and space you'd need and the kind of things you are planning.

3) A structured time-tabled workshop that takes about 45-50mins and can be repeated each hour (10am-11am, 11am-12noon, 12noon-1pm, 1pm-2pm, 2pm-3pm). We will then ensure school parties arrive on time to fill each slot. This could be a hands-on team exercise, interactive demonstration, etc. We can also provide some volunteer STEM ambassadors to assist you during the day. We'd need to know the number of students you could cope with each session (e.g. 10 pairs of students, 30 students, etc) and the kind of layout and activity you envision.
